Learner profile attribute: PRINCIPLED

On 27th February 2019 our school was visited by a special guest – a judge and TV celebrity Mrs. Anna Maria Wesołowska. The students of the whole school had a chance to participate in a lecture that was devoted to the legal regulations concerning under-aged youth. The judge gave many examples from her work experience and also allowed students to ask questions and enquire about the topics of interests to them. The lecture made students realise that they are responsible for their own choices and actions and have to face their consequences.

On the 4 th of October 2019 we invited to our school a journalist of the local radio station Mr Żmicier Kościn. Our guest talked about the positive side of taking risks and referred to his own experienced or a person who long time ago risked everything, moved to a different country and found his home there. The guest stressed the need to follow one’s inner voice and be stay true to your ideas and find your own way in life.

Attribute of the month: BALANCED

On the 26 th September 2019 our guest was Mr Marek Kaczmarzyk Ph.D, a scientist who researches human brain and the influence it has on our emotions and relations. The guest talked about the way our brain works and how it affects the way young people shape their relations with grown-ups. He also referred to the need of being balanced and how to achieve it through the positive relationships with people that surround us.

Learner profile attribute: COMMUNICATORS

On the 16 th May 2019 the whole school community had a chance to master their communication abilities thanks to the participation in a workshop with an acclaimed Polish linguist, Mr. Jerzy Bralczyk. The professor, who is known to be an authority in language matters, talked about certain techniques and little tricks, such as intonation or pauses between words, that can help students become more articulate and daring in public speaking. The meeting was a great opportunity to practice student’s communication skills.
